*Yes, she might be leading, but that doesn't stop Raph from getting the door. Which, in of itself is strange. He's not usually one for opening doors for people, but this is different.*

So yeah, the roof.

Gasp! M'lady, you wound me!

"Me? Wound a big strong boy like you? Surely you jest."

She smiles at him, and reaches up to pat his cheek.

"You're great, you know that?"

*a blush begins to form*
lies. always wit' the lies.

She taps him gently in the chest. Her voice is quiet.

"What, you don't believe me?"

*he breaks eyecontactl, but there's a half smile lurking.*
nah, you're biased.

She looks down, very interested in the blanket on the bed.

"Maybe. A little. More than I should be."

Yeah, so you mentioned.

Suddenly, this bed seems like a very dangerous place to be... and yet, she's not moving. She just looks up at him.

"Yeah... how about that?"

*He turns back, not expecting her to be looking in his direction*

She sits up, not breaking eyecontact, and leans forward just the tiniest little bit, to touch his cheek with the tips of her fingers.

"This is bad. So bad..."

*His hand covers her, but unlike last time he doesn't pull away.*

She leans in, very slowly, very carefully, and brushes her lips against his.

It's such a tiny thing, but... there's not that much that could prepare him for it. It feels like all the sweetness that comes from life on the edge of a razor. It's Jack and Coke and sun on the water and blades in an alley.

*His eyes close, and there is a sharp intake of breath. It takes his eyes a few seconds to focus when he does reopen them. He's speechless....utterly speechless*

She leans back and smiles at him, sweetly and maybe a little sadly.

"That's why we don't get involved with mortals."

*with a look of astonishment still overpowering his expression*
that's not the conclusion I'd have come to....

She strokes his cheek with her thumb.

"I don't want to break you, Raph."

*Completely sincere*
You're years too late for that.

"Are you alright?"

*manages to pull of a half smile*
Same as I ever am.

She doesn't believe him. She continues to cradle his cheek in her hand.

*He leans into her hand, and sighs happily*

She lets her hand slide down next to the ankh around his neck, and rests her head on his shoulder.

*It may be a bad idea, but right now Raph doesn't care in the slightest. He snakes an arm around her waist, and in a series of fluid movements, they are lying next to each other on the bed, his head nestled in the nape of her neck. Not everyone can get away with spooning Death, but then Raph isn't just anyone.*
