*There's something about a good night's sleep that just puts the reset on any bad day. At least, that's how it's always been for Raph. The sins of the previous day are washed away by the waters of deep sleep. Today is no different. He rolls out of bed and shuffles through his morning routine still feeling the weight oflast night's hurt and confusion, but somehow it just doesn't sting as much. The fight has been slept out of him. Only, you know...not in the dirty way.
He makes his way to the shower, turning the hot water on full blast when he gets there, and wincing as he steps under the water. She's right, he did do a number on himself, what with all the scratching. Damn humans and their thin skin. He picks up his no name shampoo bottle, and is mildly surprised when clear liquid comes out before actual shampoo. He shrugs it off, thinking he must have left the cap open and this is just a layer of water. To compensate, he squeezes out extra shampoo, and then runs it through his hair. The burning isn't immediate, and at first he thinks it's just the raw parts of his back reacting to the soap...but the pain is nowhere near his back. When he pulls his hands away to wash them off under the showerhead he notices they're covered in hair.
His hair is falling out.
His scalp is burning.
Raph is not a smart guy, but he's far from stupid.
As he carefuly washes the offending shampoo out of his hair, he mentally flips through potential pranks, smiling when the proper one surfaces.
