Loyalty to Tortall and the crown is bred into Abigail's bones, and is something she's never questioned; both have needed defending in her life, and both have her support. Tortall is home. But there's plenty she'd tell the king were he to stop in her tavern for a meal. Plenty she'd tell him needs fixing.

Less so now, since King Jonathan came to the throne.

Still, to have a say, to know your ruler listened to you, must be a fine thing indeed.
