Bravo! It fits in well with the comic (well, the Mirage one anyway. Yay for originalness - which makes a heck of a lot more sense than the series or movies or other comics ever did) and generally makes a lot of sense and fits well with characterisation.
And it's always nice to get the history out, just for the puppeteer's sake.
And it definitely wasn't badly written.
