Up on the roof.
Sep. 7th, 2004 11:53 am*Again, he's up earlier than she is, so he retreats to the roof. He looks out over the time-frozen landscape and sighs regretfully. How he'd love to be up here watching the sun rise, instead of looking out at the same stars over and over again. There's nothing like watching the sun rise from a New York rooftop. His eyes make their way to the Twin Towers, and he cringes. Raph's thoughts move darker still as he thinks about Angie and John.
He can't wrap his mind around the idea of John just up and leaving. There has to be something more to it than that. Could he really have been that freaked out by finding out Angie was just a story in his world? It didn't seem to bother John when he met Raph. But then, Raph and John's relationship was nothing like John and Angie's was. So he tries to put himself in John's shoes. What would he think about finding out Penny was just some made up character. That her world wasn't real to him. His thoughts shift to the turtle painted van he and Kitty found in the garage.
Raph decides then and there that he's going to face this head on. He quietly creeps back into the tent. He finds it the first place he looks. The magic of the tent puts everything in it's rightful place, so it only stands to reason that a bound stack of pages be found on a book shelf. Just as quiet, Raph returns to his rooftop perch, screen play for Almost Famous in his hands.
He begins to read*

*he kisses her nose*
Though, as sneak attacks go, that one was by far the nicest.
*starts to close the book, holding his page with his pointer and middle finger acting as one*

Actually, it was a test I had to pass as a kid. Had to walk around with a bell for a while, until I learned how to walk without making the bell ring. Ain't easy, lemme tell ya'.
*he pulls her until she sits down with him on the ledge. One leg hanging over the roof, her back against his chest. He plops the book on her lap, still holding the pages*
I think so. Kinda wierd...
You, uh...okay with me readin' it?

Date: 2004-09-07 09:58 am (UTC)Yeah, I wasn't gonna read it.
Weird? How?

Date: 2004-09-07 10:04 am (UTC)It's just wierd to read something with people you know in it. Like seeing people you know on TV. *he thinks using Luke to explain his feeling, but decides against it at the last minute.
I do like the kid though. Seems like a good sort. His mom's nuts.

Never read one of these before, they're kinda confusing. It's kinda like a play, kinda like a book. Just ...wierd. I dunno.
I, didn't mean to pry, I was just curious, you know?
[ooc: incidentally, you can find a version of the screen play here. lots of small changes from the actual movie]

You're not prying. We could ask the bar for the movie if you want?

John left Angie, because he found about about her version of this. *he holds up the script*
Now their both gone, and I guess, I just wanted to see what would happen.

Date: 2004-09-07 10:48 am (UTC)Do I have to remind you that you are a turtle in human form? Everything in there is pretty much the same as what I have told you, I think.

Date: 2004-09-07 10:57 am (UTC)It's just, I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't pull a John, you know? Freak out when faced with the idea that you might not be real where I'm from.

Date: 2004-09-07 11:05 am (UTC)I know. I didn't think you were trying to make a list of people who need their legs broken. But my past bothered William so I guess anythings possible.
*grins*
So, think you can handle it?
