Jul. 22nd, 2004 06:15 pmRaph rarely admits defeat. If a challenge too much for him he either hits it a whole lot, or storms off long before anyone gets the chance to ask him to surrender. To Raph, the latter isn't quitting, it's regrouping for a second offensive.
So last night, when the tree took a swipe at him, he swiped right back. The two sides continued to batter each other for over an hour, until finally the tree succeeded in disarming Raph of one of his sais. It was then that he knew it was time to regroup.
Jumping out of striking range, Raph bowed respectfully to the tree, grabbed his clothing and shoes, then headed for the roof of the bar.
The bruises and black eye were nothing. Same could be said for the slight limp he was sporting the next morning.
Raph didn't lose.
He's just regrouping.

She's an infuriating one, Cap'n Quibitch. Heh. Way too much like Casey for her own good. Needs to be taken down a couple of pegs. Just gotta get her away from her magic stick for a time. Pretty sure I'd be faster than her, if I knew she was throwing something at me, but the last thing I want is to be wrong and have bats comin' outta my nose. An' I got no desire to be a tiny animal again. Though, I do gotta admit that I kicked that leech's ass but good, and would make short work of that cat even as a mouse.
Drinking contest then? Long as I keep the room warm, there shouldn't be a problem with me outdrinking her.The trick would be to keep the metabolism up.
I do hope she realizes that her being a chick won't keep me from knocking her block in. I don't go in for that "no hitting women" thing. Someone hits me, I hit'em back. Don't matter what they're sportin' in their pants. Heck, won't lose a night's sleep over a pre-emptive strike either. Just not my way
Tomorrow's gonna be interesting. Shopping in an area where I won't have to hide behind my trench. Oughta been fun. Here's hopin' I can get there. Everytime I leave I just see New York. Hell, even now I can see the NYC skyline with the whole universe just on top of it.
*looks out to see the familar Twin Towers on the horizon.
Tomorrow I get a tent and a sleeping bag and maybe some smoke bombs. Be nice to have a couple of those on me should I need to make a quick escape.
