[OOM: The Roof]
*Thinking.
It's the most addictive thing next to breathing.
Once you start, you can't stop.
Raph sits on the roof watching the sunset, sixpack of beer by his side.*

Of course, he had also expected his ladder to still be where he left it two days before, and it... wasn't. After he'd stared at the empty space where the ladder should have been for several minutes, Andrew went out in search of a replacement. Thirty minutes later and considerably more sweaty, he returned, leaning the apparatus against the wall with a solid clank.
When he got to the top, Andrew spotted Raph immediately and paused, his hand on the top rung. Maybe there was still time to climb back down without being seen.
Yeah, right.

Raph is leaning back on one of the many chimneys. There's a momentary glance at Large, before Raph goes back to watching the sunset and nursing his beer.*

*He leans his head against the bricks, and takes another pull off his beer*

"You, uh, don't happen to know where my shirt is, do you? The blue one?"
no subject
In the cab. Maybe.
no subject
Well, that sucked. He kinda liked it.
Andrew probably should have gone on his way then, but he didn't move. He just stood there, Walkman in hand, looking slightly pained.

Finally, when he gets so fed up of the silence, he slides the sixpack over.*

"Thanks," he said, quietly.

*Keep dancing Raph, maybe one day you'll remember the steps.*

*No sideways glance, but maybe his face is a little less hard.*

It's not like I knew to expect that.

You don't
idiot. There is a doorbell though. Right on the front. Glows in dark. Can't miss it.no subject
"Sorry," he replied tersely.
I don't want your stupid beer anyway, asshat. BE that way.
no subject
I didn't know. That she'd be here.
no subject
"It wasn't your fault," he replied, popping the top and taking a long drink.

"I didn't mean it like that. You can't help what happened. You can't help that you're you and I'm me. That you won the cosmic girlfriend coin toss," Andrew shrugged, and took another drink.
"I really wish I had some meds," he admitted, and looked back to Raph. "You think Bar would give them to me if I asked? Can she do that? Nothing major, maybe just some Valium. I'm not sleeping."
no subject
Thought the point was to feel it this time 'round.
no subject
Do you hear yourself?
no subject
*Raph quips before finishing his beer, and getting a new one.*
When I can't sleep,...I run.
no subject
"You run a lot?" He wasn't talking about what Raph was talking about. Maybe Raph could catch that, maybe not. At any rate, it isn't accusatory, just sympathetic.

One end o' Manhattan to the other sometimes.

They were really so good at this communicating stuff.

Drink your beer. It's alcohol abuse otherwise.

"Just... thanks," he repeated, and then promptly shut his mouth.
