"That sucks." Why thank you, Captain Obvious. He wasn't sure what else to say, because he knew better than to be too pushy.

"So, uh... Why'd you really leave?" Andrew wasn't buying that vacation thing as the whole story. It was too simple an explanation.

Because I got paid time off from this place after goin' to the Wand Wavin' world to rescue Tonks, an' I knew if I stayed here, bad stuff'd happen.

Which it did. So instead of it fallin' on my head, I'm just wadin' through it now.

"Bad stuff?" Andrew arched a brow. "Like what?" It had been pretty calm, as far as Andrew could tell. "Are we talking, like, cataclysmic death and destruction, or just like... psychological turmoil?"

I ain't so self absorbed that I think I bring the doom around here. Hell, doom is always on special. I just thought maybe I could avoid it if I took a break.
