[OOM: The Roof]
Apr. 24th, 2006 03:27 pm*The world is ending. And honestly, the way Raph is feeling right now, he doesn't care. If it could end just a little bit quieter though, he'd be a much happier ex-turtle.
Even the little light that bleeds through the shades is too much, so Raph attempts to bury himself under a pillow.
Hangovers, ain't they a bitch*

"I haven't been up here in a while, I'd forgotten how fascinating the magical architecture of this place was. Obviously it's well established that the surface area of an object can be greater than its volume, but I don't think most mathematicians have seen a disparity quite this striking."
He pats Raph absentmindedly on the shoulder.
"You know, this tent could provide the basis for an intriguing study of the magical theoretics affecting the transformation of three-dimensional space. You're a lucky turtle, Raph."

Date: 2006-04-25 11:11 am (UTC)Donnie is completely intrigued by now.
"Is there a mechanism for that, or an activation spell of some kind? Do you have to put the clothes in a certain location? Where do the clean ones turn up? Are they folded? Do you have to provide detergent?"

Like, okay watch.
*Raph downs the rest of his water and then places the now empty glass on the bedside table.*
Ten minutes from now this thing'll be back in the cupboard.

Guess who's not going anywhere for ten minutes.

Date: 2006-04-25 11:34 am (UTC)Raph flops back onto his bed, covering his face with the pillow for the third time this morning alone.
Like clockwork, after ten minutes the glass disappears.

Date: 2006-04-25 11:38 am (UTC)"That's amazing! Okay, now this time I'm going to repeat your methodology with a controlled variable in the form of a clean glass and see if there's a time differential in the dematerialization of the clean glass versus the dirty glass."

Date: 2006-04-25 12:02 pm (UTC)"Ah, right. Maybe I could do this another day, when you're feeling better."
There is a last wistful glance at the glasses cupboard before he turns back to the bed.
"Is there anything else you could use while I'm here?"

Date: 2006-04-25 12:05 pm (UTC)can you get me a beer?
*works its way through the feathers.*

Date: 2006-04-25 12:12 pm (UTC)"I'll just get you some more water instead."
It takes some internal struggle to stop himself from bringing two glasses back to Raph and setting up his experiment, but he resists nobly.
"There you go."

*For the water. For the company. And most importantly, for taking the hint.*
